Her newly published memoir From East to West: My Journey, tells her story of coming to Lake Charles during the early days of McNeese State University, and is not only a personal memoir but a history of the music culture of Lake Charles and McNeese. She was honored by McNeese State University with the title of Professor Emeritus in recognition of her performance and dedication to the Music Department of McNeese. Mrs. Bulber and her family have been highly influential for the culture of music in Lake Charles, Louisiana and the wider area of Southwest Louisiana.
